After crossing the border from Myanmar to Thailand, we spent 10 days in Bangkok. We had a little holiday from traveling and had to re-plan our journey.
The border crossing from Myanmar to Thailand over the Myawaddy-Mae Sot border was the 8th overland border crossing of this journey and a really easy one.
We only had half a day to explore Yangon. We did some sight-seeing on skateboards and enjoyed the culinary treats of Myanmar one last time.

We did a great day trip from Loikaw to Pan Pet Villages on a motorbike. It’s the home of Kayan Lahwi tribe, known for the long tradition of neck stretching.

During the 3 days we spent by the Lake Inle, we saw houses built on water, floating gardens, vast sunflower fields, a village full of tofu, and much more.
In Pindaya, “the Tuscany of Myanmar”, we visited a striking cave with over 8000 Buddha statues. Besides that, we also had to visit a motorbike workshop.
